No more tickets coming, BUT…

Lots of people have been asking whether we’re going to release more tickets to Ignite Boise 2, and I can see why.  For IB1, we released tickets in three batches of 200 tickets each.  It helped us to promote  the first event before and after submissions were received and after speakers were announced.  It made sense to release tickets incrementally and it made for a good turnout and a good group of speakers.

Now that folks have a better idea of what Ignite Boise is and how it works, we released all 600 tickets at once, just as most Ignites do.  The Egyptian holds 750 people, so the remaining 150 seats go to our sponsors, speakers, volunteers and their guests.  Unfortunately, there are no more tickets available to give out.

But…

You should still plan to attend, even if you don’t have a ticket.  While IB1 sold 600 tickets, only about 400-450 people showed up.  And don’t forget, tickets only grant entrance to folks before 6:30.  After then anyone can enter, ticket or no.  So, unless ALL 600 ticket holders show up before 6:30 your chances of getting in to Ignite Boise 2 are actually really good!

The lesson for non-ticket holders is this: get there early to get in line, because after 6:30, tickets are meaningless and you can come in.

The lesson for ticket holders is similar: get there early! There is going to be a line of folks waiting to take your place if you arrive after 6:30!
