We’re kicking off the first Ignite Boise of 2010 with some absolutely great sponsors.
Our venue sponsor for this event is Great Western Barbecue Supply/Traeger Grills, headed up by Goalsontrack – Smart Goal Setting Software
itter.com/shermtv”>@ShermTV. Sherm was a presenter at IB|3. It’s great to see the community rally around Ignite in every form. The venue sponsor is very critical — all their sponsorship dollars cover the cost of base rent for the night of the event.
We’re welcoming first-time sponsor Sybase iAnywhere, a provider of mobile enterprise, database and RFID software technologies.
The Urban Agent Team, whose motto is “We’re not your parents’ real estate company,” has also signed on for another sponsorship.
Please let these sponsors know you appreciate them. They are what allow Ignite Boise to be a free, community-based event.
We’ll be announcing a couple more sponsors in the coming weeks. If you’re interested in sponsoring (we only have a couple spots left), please let us know.

As we’ve mentioned before, Ignite Boise would be nowhere without its sponsors. We owe a special thanks to the gang at Va
litics for coming aboard as the venue sponsor for IB|03. As the venue sponsor, they are covering the base costs of us renting the Egyptian Theatre — by far the largest expense of holding an Ignite event.
If you don’t know them, Valitics is (as they put it) “an interactive communication studio in beautiful Boise, Idaho. We are design junkies, analyzers, problem solvers, techy-tinkerers, and creative thinkers.”
Bottom line? They build cool, functional web sites and other useful interactive stuff. Please support them and let them know you appreciate their sponsorship of Ignite.

ay” width=”211″ height=”300″ />We are thrilled to announce that, by mayoral proclamation by the Honorable David Bieter, today is officially “Ignite Boise Day” in the City of Boise. The full text is below. Now, let’s celebrate!
Whereas Ignite Boise was established by volunteers in early 2009 for the purpose of advancing big ideas and sparking a blaze of creativity in the City of Boise’s business and creative community; and
Whereas the unique live presentation format of Ignite Boise brings together a diverse group including the valley’s artists, geeks, entrepreneurs, academics, government officials, and others to share their ideas in a fast-paced feeding frenzy of original thinking that entertains, challenges, and inspires; and,
Whereas the volunteer founders and organizers of Ignite Boise staged an impressive debut event in March of ’09 and have maintained the momentum for their second event, IgniteBoise2, in July of ’09, while utilizing only social media tools and earned media for communication and promotion; and,
Whereas Ignite Boise reflects the truth that Boise is the birthplace of big ideas, the cradle of innovation, and simply the best place to lead a balanced life of meaningful work and inspirational play; and,
NOW, THEREFORE, I, DAVID H. BIETER, Mayor of the City of Boise, do hereby proclaim
