Ignite Boise | Boise’s best ideas in 5 minutes, 20 slides

Here are the facts: Ignite Boise is a 100% free, volunteer-run event. None of the speakers make a dime. The organizers earn even less.

So how does an event of this size (700+ attendees) happen? Three syllables: spon-sor-ships. We rely on the kindess of strangers, mostly companies, to provide the funding that allows us to rent the Egyptian, give out t-shirts and generally make Ignite Boise happen.

We’d love it if you’d be part of it. Sponsors IB7. It’s cheap (only $350), it’s fun (you can brag to all your friends) and it’s a great way to gain recognition for your brand (all sponsors can show a video at intermission).

So this is seriously cool. For the second time, the City of Boise has honored Ignite Boise’s contribution to the community by declaring April 21, 2011 Ignite Boise 6 Day in Boise, Idaho. Pretty cool.

Tickets for IB6 ran out in under 4 hours today! Didn’t get yours? Don’t worry, you can always attend IB6 by showing up after 6:30PM on the day of the event (Thursday, 4/21). Ignite Boise has never, repeat, never completely filled the Egyptian. It’s come close, but we’ve never had to turn anyone away from an Ignite. So show up, ticket or no. The odds are with you that you’ll get in just fine.
